Caring For Children In The World Today

What type of world would you like for your child? Most of us would probably have similar answers for this question. Good health, proper education, friends and family who care and are attentive and so on. But, what does it take to make this happen on a larger scale for the effects to create a child healthy world to live in for these little ones?

This is a question that has many answers, but we will only go over some of them here. Every parent or guardian who cares for a child or children makes an impact on their lives.

First things first. The internet has obviously changed the majority of how things are done in the world today. The countries that do have access to this marvel of the modern age are granted instant access to basically anything. This has also become an ever growing issue with households and kids simply not interacting outdoors. It has reached such an epidemic proportion, that it’s starting to become the focus of many new ad campaigns. Once Hollywood gets involved, you know it’s an epidemic. They don’t do little in glam town. Luckily, there is an easy remedy for this. Simply make a little time every other day to just be outside with the kids.

It doesn’t have to be the whole day, for those of us who have busy work schedules. But a simple 30 minute game outdoors 2 or 3 times a week will do wonders for your child’s self esteem and general outlook on things. It’s a great way to get some much needed sun and exercise and a good bonding agent for the whole family.

Next we have the teenage demographic. They are more than likely to turn up their noses to any (boring stuff outside with parents.) They are probably more likely to do something that involves their friends, so it’s important to know who their friends are. Don’t be a stalker or anything here. Just know your kid’s acquaintances and friends enough to build a good report with them. Any parent can get (a feeling) from the friend in question. Good or bad, you can sense it when your involved enough. You’d be surprised the number of parents who don’t know their child’s friends by name. A teenagers friends can be arguably a bigger influence on them than their parents or guardians in some cases. It’s just good to know.

What it comes down to in the end, is open and clear communication with our family and communities. In order for any form of child healthy world to arise, there must be open communication. It starts with the families and this makes up the community at large resulting in a web of open honesty. This is the most crucial step in providing a naturally safe world for not just the kids, but the parents and guardians as well. What we start in the home, spreads to the rest of the world.

All that it takes is for each of us to do our part. If we all take the time (whenever possible) to get to know each other just a bit, there becomes a greater sense of community. That’s something that every parent and guardian can appreciate for their children.
